Data deletion

How to ask Good Vibe Homes to delete your account, your personal data, and the data we hold because of a WhatsApp or other Meta connection. You do not need an account to read or use this page.

Who can ask

  • Anyone whose details we hold: because you sent an inquiry, requested a viewing, used the client portal, or wrote to a WhatsApp number that is connected to our Platform.
  • A business that connected a WhatsApp Business account or other Meta asset to the Platform, acting through the person who owns that account or manages it in Meta Business Manager.
  • A member of a team that uses the Platform, for their own account: we deactivate the account and remove it from the Platform.

What to include

So that we can find your records and be sure the request is yours, send us:

  • your full name;
  • the phone number, including country code, or the e-mail address you used with us;
  • if you wrote to a business over WhatsApp, the business's number you wrote to, if you know it;
  • for a business account: the WhatsApp Business Account ID or the connected phone number, and the e-mail address of the account owner.

We may ask you to confirm the request from that phone number or e-mail address before we act on it. We do not need anything else, and we will not ask for a copy of an identity document unless we cannot verify you any other way.

How to send the request

E-mail info@goodvibehomes.com with the subject line "Data deletion request" and the details above. You can also use the contact form at goodvibehomes.org/contact with the same information.

We confirm that we have received the request, verify it, carry it out, and tell you when it is complete. We aim to complete requests within 30 days of verifying them. A repeated request for the same data is answered, not repeated: once deleted, the data is gone.

What is deleted

For a person, deletion removes or irreversibly anonymises the records that identify you in our customer, conversation, document and request tables:

  • your name, phone number, e-mail address, notes about you, your preferences and custom fields;
  • your inquiries, viewing requests, listing requests and portal access links, which are revoked;
  • the conversations and messages held about you on every channel, including messages received over WhatsApp, and every image, voice note or document received with them, which is deleted from our storage;
  • documents uploaded about you.

For a business that connected a Meta asset, deletion also removes the connection records — the WhatsApp Business Account and phone number records, the stored access token and PIN, the message templates and channel settings — and deactivates the team members' accounts if the business is closing its account entirely. These are removed by our team directly in the database, and the removal is recorded.

Deletion of a person's data is carried out by our team on the Platform's own erasure function; it is recorded so that we can show it was done, without keeping the data itself. The technical processing queue and logs that carried your data are not part of that function; they are kept as described below.

What may need to be kept

Some records must survive a deletion request:

  • records that document a transaction — a deal, an invoice, a payment — are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Your personal details and any free-text notes in them are removed; what remains identifies the transaction, not you;
  • security and administrative logs, and the technical processing queue through which messages arrive, are kept so that we can investigate abuse and show that a deletion was carried out; they are not searched or used to contact you;
  • anything we are required to keep by a legal obligation or for an ongoing legal claim.

We tell you what was kept and why when we confirm the deletion.

Connected WhatsApp and Meta data

Disconnecting an asset and deleting its data are two steps, and you can take either.

When a business disconnects a WhatsApp number from the Platform's Channels page, from Meta Business Manager, or from the WhatsApp Business app, the Platform stops sending and receiving on that number at once and, when it was the last number on that WhatsApp Business Account, also removes its webhook subscription with Meta. The conversation history and the connection record stay in the Platform so that they are not lost by a reconnection; the stored access token is no longer used for that number.

When a deletion request is completed, the connection records and the stored access token are removed, and the customer records, conversations, messages and media received through that number are deleted or anonymised as described above.

Data that Meta itself holds — your WhatsApp Business account, the messages in the WhatsApp app, Meta's own logs — is not in our control. It stays subject to Meta's terms and can be managed in Meta Business Manager or the WhatsApp Business app.
